Day 12 - July 16th - By Joasia

Today we had a very quick morning. We had to eat and get on the bus 9am to a small village called Bartne. The festival was a fundraiser to rebuild the Lemko church. We had a parade to start the whole thing off and four people from our group got to ride in horse drawn carriages, Mary Kay, Goisa, Lolo and Megan. One by one the groups left the parade to join their host house where they would prepare the food from their country. Our spot was across the small river in a open muddy grass field, very pretty but hard on our shoes. Our host was late but we got the fire started to make our sliders and bake potatoes. The festival had booths with Lemko food and crafts. There were also artisans who made lace, shingles, tar, and loom woven blankets. The performance started at 5pm and we were the fifth to last group so lots of free time. The performance went really well. No one fell and it was really clean and together dispute cutting the dance to 8 pair since we had some sick dancers. Later we also found out that our group made the most money selling food about 200zt.
