Day 11 - July 15th - By Kelly

Today we had the morning free. A majority of us woke up around 8 and got on the bus to go to the mountains. We get to the base of the mountain and take a gondola up. The view was spectacular, and we spent most of time chilling and eating Polish food. It started to get foggy and we returned to the hotel. The rest of the group stayed behind and slept in or went around on a walk to the nearby river. After lunch, we all got ready for the village performance we were scheduled for. We arrived at the fire station at the village and got ready to dance. There was a problem though because the dance floor ad a pillar in the middle of the floor. It was rather difficult to maneuver around it for Podlasie, Pzeworsk and jazz. After our show we hung out with the village people. Everybody was so nice and hospitable. They fed us delicious cookies and coffee/tea. We went to leave, but it started to pour outside. There was thunder and lightening and nobody was prepared for the weather. There was a church nearby and we all wanted to see it so we had to run (in costume) to go and see it. We went inside right as the mass was ending and had the opportunity to see the gorgeous church. It was over 400 years old and had beautiful paintings covering the walls. Then we ran back through the rain and hopped on the bus back to Muszyna. We had the pleasure of having no running water upon our arrival. We ate dinner and then practice was held for those in Spisz. The rest of us just hung out. After that, we had to prepare the food for tomorrow. We prepped potatoes for baked potatoes and chopped up all the toppings and such. It was quick interesting to wash our ands after touching the raw meat for the American hamburgers while there was still no running water. It was a long day- very eventful. :)
